“Let Your Kind Shine”
Kindness is everywhere at CES! The three recipients of this week's awards were nominated by a teacher or staff member for showing exceptional kindness. They received a sunshine bag and the opportunity to sit in the yellow sunshine chair over the next week to promote kindness throughout CES!
Jane Williams (Mrs. Bonderer’s First Grade Class)
Jane is always sure to greet everyone she meets with a smile and is constantly looking for ways to help her teacher and classmates!
Zasphyr Bagley (Ms. Davis’ 3rd Grade Class)
Zasphyr has been super helpful with our new student! He has voluntarily shared his iPad, walked the new student through how to use different apps, helped him figure out different classroom/school procedures and has made sure that our new student has someone to play with during recess everyday, all WITHOUT being asked. . His kindness towards our new kiddo, and everyday, makes me very very proud to be his teacher!
Sophia Hawkins (Mrs. Dodson’s Fourth Grade Class)
Sophia Hawkins (Dodson) is always being kind to everybody she meets. She goes out of her way to make people smile, to make them feel better if they are sad, and is always wanting to help who she can. She loves to make people smile, and she always brightens my day!

This past week in Health Class, Coach Dixon brought science to life by incorporating a lesson inspired by former science teacher Donna Good. Students had the unique opportunity to examine a cow heart, deer heart, and pig heart, gaining a firsthand look at how blood flows through the heart’s chambers, tendons, blood vessels, and valves.
This hands-on experience gave students a deeper understanding of the circulatory system and how these vital organs function. What an incredible way to bring learning to life! 🧠🔬

Today, Braylin Provolt, one of our talented 3rd graders, stepped into the role of guest reader in a 2nd-grade classroom. What a wonderful way to inspire younger students and share the love of reading!

Today, our 5th graders took an exciting field trip to the Pony Express Museum in St. Joseph! Throughout the year, they have researched the history of the Pony Express, and this visit brought their learning to life as they explored the stables and rich history firsthand. A huge thank you to our Chilli MO PTO for sponsoring this incredible experience!
