CMS Cares Day is a special tradition focused on service, giving back, and making a positive impact throughout our community. Today, our students and staff will be out and about across Chillicothe completing odd jobs, helping community members, and serving others with pride and kindness.
If you see a large group of students and staff in bright pink t-shirts today, that’s us proudly representing CMS and serving our community! A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of our sponsors who helped make this day possible.
Congratulations to Jaxon Boyles for winning our CMS Cares Day T-Shirt Design Contest! We are proud to showcase his design on this year’s shirts.
This incredible CMS tradition was started in 2001 by Mrs. Nancy Elliott, and it is truly our privilege to continue this amazing day of service in her honor.
We are proud of our Hornets and thankful for such a supportive community! 🖤❤️

Taking care of these items before the end of the year is greatly appreciated and helps us wrap up the school year smoothly.
If you have questions or need assistance accessing Infinite Campus, please contact the CMS office- 660-646-1916. Thank you for your continued support!

Check out the dates, workouts, camps, and important details to get ready for another great Hornets football season. We can’t wait to see our athletes working hard and preparing for the fall! #HornetsOnTop #CMSProud 🖤❤️

Today we celebrate our amazing CMS nurse, Larissa Lebsack, on National School Nurse Day! 💉❤️
Larissa goes above and beyond every single day to care for our students and staff with compassion, patience, and kindness. Whether it’s helping a sick student feel better, calming nerves, offering encouragement, or simply being a friendly face to everyone who walks through her door, she makes a tremendous impact on our school each and every day.
We are incredibly thankful for her dedication, hard work, and the love she shows our Hornet family. CMS is a better place because of her!
Thank you, Nurse Lebsack, for all that you do for Chillicothe Middle School! ❤️🖤 #CMSHornets #SchoolNurseDay #ThankYouNurseLebsack

CMS hosted its first-ever Large Group Festival on Saturday at the Gary Dickinson Fine & Performing Arts Center! Bands from Gallatin, Kearney, and Hamilton attended for adjudication and clinics. Congrats to our 7th Grade Band (Exemplary I) and 8th Grade Band (Outstanding II)!

Students will be testing during the first two hours of the day on April 28–30 and May 5–7. We encourage all of our Hornets to come prepared, stay focused, and give their very best effort each day.
Let’s show what we know and make CMS proud—you’ve got this! 💪❤️🖤

The focus for April is *Capable*. These students stand out because they take responsibility for their learning, stay focused, and follow through on what is asked of them. They step up to challenges, make good choices, and show they can be trusted to get the job done the right way.
Each student was first nominated by a teacher and then selected through a staff vote, making this recognition especially meaningful. We are proud of the way these students represent our school each day.
Great job, Hornets! Keep asking questions and chasing knowledge!
#HornetsOnTop #CMSProud 🖤❤️
