Such a fun and relaxing way to wrap up the year! Sherry Thomas spent time with our Better You Club students today making sugar scrubs, and it was the perfect hands-on activity to celebrate all the growth and positivity from this group. Students enjoyed learning something new while also taking time for self-care. Reminder for CMS families: Next week on March 23, the Livingston County Health Department will host a free vaccine clinic for our current 7th grade students. Missouri requires Tdap and meningococcal vaccines before entering 8th grade. Forms are available in the front office, or contact our awesome nurse, Mrs. Lebsack, who also shared them by email.

We had a great experience in Better You Club the past two weeks!

Julie Barnes spent time with our students teaching them about her Native American culture and traditions. Students learned a lot and enjoyed hearing about her experiences and heritage.

To celebrate the end of the lessons, Julie treated everyone to her homemade fry bread tacos. They were a big hit!

Chillicothe Middle School is proud to recognize our March Terrific Students of the Month! 🎉

The focus for March is **Inquisitive** These students stand out by asking thoughtful questions, showing curiosity, and demonstrating a strong desire to learn. Their willingness to explore ideas and seek understanding helps create a positive and engaging learning environment at CMS.

Each student was first nominated by a teacher and then selected through a staff vote, making this recognition especially meaningful. We are proud of the way these students represent our school each day.

The 2026 Student Showcase is officially here! 🎨🎭🎶

Our week-long celebration of creativity and talent is up and ready for everyone to enjoy. We are so proud of the amazing work our students have put together!

The Student Showcase starts today and will be open all week after school from 3:30–6:00 PM in the CMS Commons.

We are excited to announce our 2026 Student ShowCase, a week-long celebration of the creativity and talent of our CMS students.

The Student ShowCase will take place next week, February 23–27, 2026 in the CMS Commons. The exhibit will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 3:30–6:00 PM.

This event is open to all students. Each student may submit one piece of artwork for display. Teachers are also encouraged to submit student work that reflects strong effort and creativity.

The Student ShowCase provides an opportunity to celebrate student achievement and give students a platform to share their work with peers, families, and our community.

A special thank you to Mr. McQuinn for leading our art creativity efforts and organizing this year’s showcase. His work continues to highlight the talent and growth of our students.
