Week 1 Reflections from Mrs. Marsh:
Mr. Roger's said, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" I am looking for the helpers and am finding them everywhere...from the group delivering meals to our students, to Mrs. Hill, my daughter's teacher, that is corresponding with her through videos. I am being reminded that our community is resilient and can tackle anything together! #hornetsr2

Week 1: CHS Teacher Reflections
Mr. Fairley is having Zoom video chats with students working together through problems on homework as they work through radical equations and graphing quadratics.

The Chillicothe R-II School District, community volunteers and the Department of Health and Senior Services will be providing free meals during the COVID-19 school closure. Meals will be served starting Wednesday, March 18th. The current day's lunch and the next day's breakfast will be prepared daily Monday-Friday and are available to any person 18 years and under residing in the Chillicothe R-II School District. Two serving options will be available to families, 1.) Meals may be picked up at either Chillicothe Middle School or Field Elementary School. 2.) Meals may also be delivered to several locations (TBA) throughout the community for those without transportation.

ACT has decided to reschedule the April 4, 2020 National ACT® test date to our June 13 and July 18 test dates in response to concerns regarding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
ACT will be notifying registered students directly in the next few days, informing them of the postponement and providing instructions for next steps.

Incoming freshmen take the first step in their CHS journey by participating in Enrollment Nights! We will have one more Enrollment Night on Thursday, March 12th @ 6:30pm! #hornetsr2
Reminder to Parents and Students: Chillicothe High School will host parent-student enrollment nights for all students who will be freshmen at Chillicothe High School next fall. At these meetings parents and students will receive information concerning requirements for high school, graduation, and the A+ program, as well as enrolling for classes.
Parents may choose from three dates: Tuesday, March 10th, Wednesday, March 11th, and Thursday, March 12th. Each presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Chillicothe High School in the Commons. No appointments are needed. Parents with any questions may contact Dr. Watkins or Mrs. Tsikoyak at the high school at 660-646-0700.

CHS is taking proactive measures to stop the spread of germs and maintain a healthy learning environment. In addition to reminding students to wash hands, sneeze in their sleeves, and avoid touching their noses, faces, and mouths, we have implemented additional protocol to ensure that solid surfaces including water fountains, bathroom facilities, lunch and library tables, and classroom desks and tables are disinfected routinely. #hornetsr2
