Rylee Regan - She ALWAYS runs to get the door to help another student no matter if she's in line to get on the bus or inside staying warm waiting for her bus and every afternoon she gets the door when we are coming in from Votech.
Nick Heldenbrand - I needed some pieces of metal cut for MST class. Nick was in metals class and volunteered to cut them for me.

Congratulations to R.A.K.E. Award winners Josh Adams, Gage Leamer, and Aliyah Briner, the are R.A.K.E. Award winners for the last few days of school and were identified doing the following;
Josh Adams - Josh found $5 in the hallway and brought it into the office in hopes the rightful owner would be able to claim it.
Gage Leamer and Aliyah Briner - These students helped us with the chairs and rugs after the basketball game last night without being told.




Congratulations to Hannah Pfeifer, Caylee Anderson, Lynnea Martin, and Alex Gamblian, they are R.A.K.E. award winners for the last few school days. They were identified doing the following -
Hannah Pfeifer - A teacher was transporting a few heavy plastic bags of canned goods into the building this morning and Hannah rushed to the door to make sure it was open for me...she even offered to help me carry in the items. What a sweet girl!
Caylee Anderson, Lynnea Martin - Caylee and Linnea are leaders in my classroom as well as Key Club. They went above and beyond to make the Turkey Trot successful so we could fund a YMCA backpack buddy. Caylee made homemade oreo balls that were sold immediately at the bake sale and Linnea spent hours hand-drawing posters to hang around the school. Neither of these girls were asked to do these things! They are AMAZING ALWAYS and deserve to be recognized!
Alex Gamblian - Alex took time to clean up paper off my floor that had fallen out of the recycling bin.

Congratulations to Julietta Keller for making the Missouri All-State Band playing the alto clarinet! She has done this not once, not twice, not three times, but ALL FOUR YEARS of her high school career! She is the epitome of what consistent practice and hard work can do. Way to go Julietta!

Junior students at CHS took the ASVAB test today! This test is part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program, a comprehensive career planning resource designed to help young people align their strengths and interests with post-secondary plans.


Tonight's basketball games vs. Hamilton at home will be JVG/VG contests starting at 5:30 pm.

Matthew protected the class from an angry wasp that had tried to escape from the cold outside to inside CHS.

Congratulations to Jkya White, Micah Crowe, Emma Crowe, and Sarah George they are R.A.K.E. Random Act of Kindness award winners for today. They were identified doing the following -
Jkya did a fabulous job of making a new FFCLA member feel welcome at our chapter meeting last Tuesday. Her cheerful spirit and warm, friendly spirit are very honorable.
Micah, Emma, and Sarah volunteered 30 minutes of their time to help clean after the FCCLA chapter meeting ended. Thank you for being good citizens and being excellent role models for your peers.

Hadley, Rylee, and Adra saw a student drop a tub of colored pencils and quickly went to help pick them up!

Congratulations to Serenity Simpson, Aidyn Lehew, Anderson De Jesus, and Kinlei Boley, they are R.A.K.E. award winners. They were identified doing the following -
Serenity Simpson - A student's backpack was unzipped and everything fell out as they were getting ready to walk out of the classroom at the end of class. Without asking, Serenity quickly picked up everything that was on the floor for the student.
Aidyn Lehew - Aidyn picked up several students' trash after 3rd lunch shift
Anderson DeJesus - Anderson saw a student not feeling well on the floor in the hallway during the 4th hour transitions. Anderson quickly made sure the student was safe and OK and got help from the office.
Kinlei Boley - Kinlei found a wallet at the football game and turned it in at the concession stand. I'm sure that made someone's night far less stressful!





All veterans are welcome to attend the Chillicothe High School salute to veterans ceremony on Veterans Day. If you have a veteran in your family of any age and your son or daughter attends Chillicothe High School, please feel free to invite them to the Chillicothe High School Veteran's Day Ceremony on November 11. The family member that is a veteran and the student will be able to have cinnamon rolls, donuts, and drinks that will be served from 8-8:30 am in the CHS PAC foyer with the ceremony beginning at 8:30 am to honor all veterans. All veterans are welcome to attend!


Congratulations to the Chillicothe High School boys soccer team, district champions! They have advanced and will play on the road at either Harrisonville or Barstow on November 13 in the state quarterfinal. The winner of that matchup moves on to the state Final Four.
