Congratulations to Conner Harris, Devyn Tolle, William Gauthier, and Allison Ramsbottom, they were the R.A.K.E. Award winners for today. They were identified doing the following -
These students moved around the campus picking up trash around the stadium and school parking lot so it will look nice for homecoming. They did an excellent job!


Congratulations to Ariel Ogle and Quentin Cranmer, they were the R.A.K.E. Award winners for yesterday. They were identified doing the following -
Ariel Ogle - Ariel comes in every morning and puts chairs down for everyone in the class. She has been doing this since school started.
Quentin Cranmer - Quentin has helped me many times before class start to fix drawers off the track, lift heavy items up high, etc. He is always eager and willing to help.

Congratulations to the CHS Marching Hornets for their 2nd place finish (out of 10 schools) at Carrollton Band Day! The drum line also earned a 4th place finish in their competition. Hard work pays off!!

Chillicothe softball will play for the Chillicothe Tournament Championship vs state ranked Macon at approximately 5:45 pm at Danner Park, Red Field. Great weather, big game, come on out and support the Hornets softball team if your looking for something to do.

Congratulations to Lydia Algozinni, Madalyn Howe, and Javon Kille, they were the R.A.K.E. Award winners for the last few days of school. They were identified doing the following -
Lydia Algozinni - Lydia came in after school to get a resource for an assignment and noticed two chairs weren't stacked onto the table and immediately picked them up to make it easier for our custodian to sweep. Not only is she a hard worker in her studies, but she also goes out of her way to be helpful!
Madalyn Howe - I have Mady 8th hour, and when I asked if anyone could help put the literature books away...everyone raced out of the room when the bell rang...except Mady! She stayed and put them all away
Javon Kille - Helped a student who was on crutches out the front door, while carrying the student's backpack, and then helped them into their parent's vehicle.




The CHS and CMS bands were out early this morning practicing for their combined band performance at tomorrow night's football game between the Hornets and St. Pius. Come out and enjoy a ballgame and support all of the talented kids on a beautiful fall evening! Go Hornets!


The girls home tennis match vs. Trenton will begin at 4:30 pm this evening due to bus driver shortage at Trenton.

Information/Parking Information for tonight's CHS volleyball at Cameron.
Tonight's volleyball at Cameron will be 2 sets C/Fr and 2 sets of JV followed by 5 sets of V. Nobody will be able to park or enter at the HS parking lot due to construction. Fans can park in the CVMS parking lot or the CIS parking lot just north of CVMS. Fans will enter through CVMS and walk to the HS gym.

JV/Fr. football at home vs. Cameron will be one game only starting at 5:00 pm this evening due to low numbers at Cameron.

Girls tennis for this evening has been postponed at LeBlond by LeBlond
due to the weather forecast.

CHS is loaded with talented kids! One of them, Allison Higgins, earned a seat with the All-District choir during her audition this weekend. Congratulations Allison!


Getting on that Chillicothe Hornet Roll is contagious, last weekend the softball team earned a tournament championship, this weekend the boys soccer team earned the tournament championship at Moberly! Congratulations to the boys soccer team, Moberly Soccer Invitational Tournament Champions!
