Congratulations to Isaac Hand, Logan Clark, Dana Ramsbottom, Allie Italiano, and Dawsyn Lightner, they are the R.A.K.E. award winners for the past few school days. They were identified doing the following;
Isaac Hand - Isaac has great sportsmanship in Lifetime Sports and is an encourager to others. His positive spirit when he gets a spare during bowling is contagious.
Logan Clark - Logan helps another student, who is on crutches, get back and forth to class by carrying her books.
Dana Ramsbottom - Dana returned a missing item back to the art room.
Allie Italiano - I have witnessed Allie's willingness to help another student several times--most recently in advisory when she offered to carry a chair from one side of the room to the other! She also offered to carry another student's backpack to Spanish from my room when he was on crutches.
Dawsyn Lightner - Dawsyn volunteered to show someone who was lost in the hallway where that teacher's classroom was located.





Congratulations to Ellie Barnett and Bryson Prather, CHS female and male Students of the Week for the week of 1-4 through 1-7.

The Chillicothe Wrestling Tournament for Saturday has been postponed due to inclement weather.

All Lawson Basketball Tournament Trophy games have been moved to Friday by Lawson due to the impending snow in the forecast. Chillicothe game times will be pending tonight's games.
Third place boys will be played at 5:00 pm
First place boys will be played at 7:30 pm
Third place girls will be played at 7:30 pm
First place girls will be played at 6:15 pm

Reminder, tomorrow night 1-4-2022 is our annual Teddy Bear Toss charity event vs. Lawson, informational flyer is attached. JVG will play at 5:00 pm at CHS and JVB will play at 5:00 pm at CMS, VG, and VB games to follow the JVG game at CHS. After the first basket is made by the Chillicothe boys basketball team during the game a stuffed animal may be tossed onto the gym floor.

12-28 VG at the NCMC Shootout vs. Milan at 6:00 pm, bus leaves at 4:00 pm, game time moved up due to Northland Christian canceling the game before our girl's game on this date at NCMC.

CHS baseball offseason throwing sessions are postponed for this afternoon, 12-22.

Basketball Schedule Changes
NCMC has had to make minor changes in our basketball schedule of contests due to Northland Christian dropping out of their Holiday Hoops Shootout. Our JV boys were supposed to play them before our varsity girls on 12-28, with Northland Christian dropping out, our holiday schedule now looks like the following-
12-21 Fr/JVG/VG basketball at home vs. Joplin at 2:00 pm
12-21 VB basketball at the NCMC Shootout vs. Gallatin at 8:30 pm, bus leaves at 6:15 pm
12-22 JVB (in place of Northland Christian VB) at the NCMC Shootout vs. Pattonsburg VB at 5:30 pm, bus leaves at 3:30 pm
12-28 VG at the NCMC Shootout vs. Milan at 6:00 pm, bus leaves at 4:00 pm, game time moved up due to Northland Christian canceling the game before our girl's game on this date.

It looks like Santa made an early appearance before school as students get ready for Christmas at Chillicothe High School.




Chillicothe Basketball Update-
The C team boys game for this evening has been cancelled by Savannah due to travel in high winds. We will still play a Fr. girls game at 6:00 pm at CHS vs. Brookfield JV.

Congratulations to Coach Canaan Fairley on receiving the Missouri Fastpitch Coaches Association Class 3 Assistant Coach of the Year! Great work coach!


Congratulations to Rylee Regan and Nick Heldenbrand, they are the R.A.K.E. award winners for today. They were identified doing the following;
Rylee Regan - She ALWAYS runs to get the door to help another student no matter if she's in line to get on the bus or inside staying warm waiting for her bus and every afternoon she gets the door when we are coming in from Votech.
Nick Heldenbrand - I needed some pieces of metal cut for MST class. Nick was in metals class and volunteered to cut them for me.

Congratulations to R.A.K.E. Award winners Josh Adams, Gage Leamer, and Aliyah Briner, the are R.A.K.E. Award winners for the last few days of school and were identified doing the following;
Josh Adams - Josh found $5 in the hallway and brought it into the office in hopes the rightful owner would be able to claim it.
Gage Leamer and Aliyah Briner - These students helped us with the chairs and rugs after the basketball game last night without being told.




Congratulations to Hannah Pfeifer, Caylee Anderson, Lynnea Martin, and Alex Gamblian, they are R.A.K.E. award winners for the last few school days. They were identified doing the following -
Hannah Pfeifer - A teacher was transporting a few heavy plastic bags of canned goods into the building this morning and Hannah rushed to the door to make sure it was open for me...she even offered to help me carry in the items. What a sweet girl!
Caylee Anderson, Lynnea Martin - Caylee and Linnea are leaders in my classroom as well as Key Club. They went above and beyond to make the Turkey Trot successful so we could fund a YMCA backpack buddy. Caylee made homemade oreo balls that were sold immediately at the bake sale and Linnea spent hours hand-drawing posters to hang around the school. Neither of these girls were asked to do these things! They are AMAZING ALWAYS and deserve to be recognized!
Alex Gamblian - Alex took time to clean up paper off my floor that had fallen out of the recycling bin.
