Senior Class of 2023, emails have been sent by rootEd awarding their scholarship recipients. Please check your emails. RootEd does not release names to the high schools or high school staff. They only release information to recipients awarded a scholarship by email. Please check your email in case you have been awarded this scholarship and have been notified by them.
Just a quick reminder: There will be no Summer School classes on Monday, June 19th, and all Chillicothe R-II buildings will be closed in observance of the national Juneteenth holiday.

Work is continuing at the Jerry Litton Stadium with the respraying and repainting of the track. Practices at the facility will likely begin sometime next week and fall sports athletes should soon be hearing from their respective coaches for definitive practice dates and times.

The track at Jerry Litton Stadium looks a little different today as the respraying and repainting project is continuing this week. It's going to look awesome when it's finished!
Good afternoon, everyone! The north entrance to the CHS parking lot will be under repair starting tomorrow (June 5th). Below is the procedure for Parent Pick-Up and Drop-Off as the north entrance to the parking lot will be closed until the repairs are complete.
Work has begun at the Jerry Litton Stadium and while the track is being resprayed and repainted, the stadium will be closed for practices. We are anticipating that the work will be completed by June 14th.
It's National Custodian Appreciation Day, and we'd like to give a huge shout-out to our custodians, who work hard everyday to keep our buildings clean for our students and staff. Thanks for all you do for Chillicothe R-II!!!

The CES expansion project continues and this (Tuesday) morning, workers were busy conducting dirt work for the road which will connect the high school parking lot and the pre-kindergarten parking lot. Once done, there will also be new handicapped parking posts near the stadium.

Gracelyn Bentley, Blaze Corbin, Abby Caselman, Alikai Walker, Kerrigan Moore, Sadie Midgyett, Hallie Maberry, Taylor Gauthier, Emilia Ramsey, Kenzie Fleener, Gabby Kerr-The girls on the winter cheerleading squad found out that my mom is currently fighting breast cancer. They took it upon themselves to make her a goodie basket complete with a handmade quilt. (I had absolutely no idea!!) They told me to bring my mom with them to practice after school because they had a surprise for her and they presented her with this and so many hugs and words of encouragement. We cried. These girls are absolutely amazing.

Congratulations to Kaden Cranmer and Jaydin Kohl, they are R.A.K.E. award winners. They were identified as doing the following;
Kaden and Jaydin rearranged and moved chairs for a staff member for a regional group meeting that was being hosted in the high school building. Kaden also held the door open before school for staff and students as they entered the building.
If you see them, feel free to congratulate them on showing high character.
