Good afternoon, Hornet Family! Just a friendly reminder that the Chillicothe R-II School District, including the Grand River Technical School, will be closed on Monday, January 15th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

CHS Sports Update for 1-11-2024:
The wrestling event at Brookfield for this evening has been moved up to a start time of 4:00 pm. The Lawson Tournament in basketball has been completely canceled for this week by Lawson.

Good evening, Hornet family! We are excited about welcoming everyone back tomorrow for a full day of classes!

Due to inclement weather and school closure, the CHS FAFSA Frenzy night scheduled for this evening will be rescheduled for a later date. Information will be shared once the date has been set for rescheduling.

Take advantage of three events in one night! The CHS Counseling Team knows you are busy. Join us this Wednesday, January 10th at 6:00 in the CHS Commons for a senior parent information session, a quick informational presentation from Vocational Rehabilitation, and a FAFSA Frenzy event. Students who attend can register to win an Amazon gift card!
Senior Parent Meeting
Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Tipton will lead this informational meeting about scholarships, basic information about financial aid, items students need to complete for the A+ scholarship, and college visit information.
Vocational Rehabilitation Services
A representative from Vocational Rehabilitation Services will give a brief overview of services available to students and will be available onsite to answer questions.
FAFSA Frenzy
All students who plan to attend college after high school are REQUIRED to complete a FAFSA. FAFSA Frenzy events provide free, one-on-one assistance to help students and parents fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Representatives from the NCMC Financial Aid office will be here to help! Students and parents MUST have an FSA ID created to be able to complete the FAFSA on-site. Whether you’re a student, parent, or borrower, you’ll need to create your own account to manage the student loan journey.
