4th grade had an exciting and educational adventure at Poosey Conservation Area on Monday! They spent the day exploring nature and learning about wildlife. Students enjoyed fishing at the lake, hiking through the woods, and playing fun food chain games. They also got a close-up look at animal furs and skulls, searched for bugs in the prairie, and even dissected owl pellets to discover what owls eat. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that helped the students better understand Missouri’s natural habitats and the animals that live there! A special shout out to Missouri Department of Conservation Field Trip Grant and Chilli MO PTO for supporting our 4th grade field trip!!!

In honor of the legendary Randy Nadler who visited Chillicothe schools for decades of epic assemblies, CES is carrying on this tradition. This week, we launched our own travel-focused annual assembly for every grade level. Mrs. Chambers will provide an hour-long assembly for every student by the end of Thursday where they learn all about her real-life adventures through Peru. Discussion topics & personal pictures ranged from Machu Picchu to the Colored Mountains to Lake Titicaca to eating llama & Guinea pig to visiting the floating islands & so much more. We can’t wait to explore a new country with her again next year!! Thanks Mrs. Chambers for sharing your adventures with our CES Friends!
