Congratulations to Dewey’s Beacon of the Year, Mrs. Julie Moore. Mrs. Moore is a custodian at Dewey, but also everybody’s friend and confidant. She is always up for a good laugh and makes all tasks during the day fun! She has a sparkly personality and is always happy. Her work ethic is untouchable.

Congratulations to Dewey’s Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Andrea Beck! Mrs. Beck is a 4th grade teacher. She spent last year as our 4th and 5th grade distance learning teacher. She is exceptional in all aspects of teaching and learning. She is an extremely hard worker that always goes above and beyond in preparing the best lessons and learning environment. No matter what task she is given, we can always count on her to give 110%.

We are joining the Business Leadership Class at the GRTS in collecting hygiene items for Foster Adopt Connect. The drive will last until this coming Tuesday, November 9. If you are able to help, please send hygiene items to school with your child by Tuesday. The class that donates the most items will earn a pizza party! Good Day Parents:
Hedrick Medical Center will be at Dewey on October 19 to give students flu shots. Consent forms and information will go home with your child within the next couple of days and it is also attached to this posting. Please return the consent form by October 15 if you wish for your child to have the vaccine. Flu mist will NOT be available this year. #dewey45
