Chillicothe R-II Board President Lindy Chapman (right) signed documents yesterday (Wednesday) at Staton Abstract & Title Co., to close the sale of a vacant lot owned by the District in the Christison Addition. The Board voted unanimously to sell the lot to Justin Tucker, of Chillicothe, during a special meeting held May 12, 2022. The sale price of the lot was $30,000, less commission and fees and the total amount deposited in the District's Capital Improvements Fund was $27,463.00
The lot, (Lot 5) was one of three lots donated to the District to use at its discretion - either for sale or as possible sites for the Grand River Technical School's Building & Trades program to build their houses.
