Bus

A few weeks ago, the Chillicothe R-II School District first launched Ride 360, an app designed to help parents and the District's transportation department communicate more effectively. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Zach McMains says the new technology, funded by the Hedrick Lawson Trust, is meeting all expectations.  "We have received very positive feedback from current users and we are hoping more parents whose children ride the bus to and from school can take advantage of this service," he said.

The app serves as the primary means of communication for parents to use regarding any district busing information. Dr. McMains said the app will also provide a map of the bus route a parent's child is riding, the location of their bus and an approximate ETA to their bus stop.

"This app functions much like the Uber app for those who are familiar with this service," Dr. McMains explained.

Only two parents or guardians will be allowed to have an account with the app, but through the it, parents can share their student's information with whoever they wish -  i.e. grandparents, babysitter, their student, etc.  Dr. McMains said parents will need their student's State ID (See the Ride 360 student number directions below) to register their accounts which can be found in the Tyler SIS parent portal. A guide to download the app can also be found below.
