The Chillicothe High School Academic Team delivered an outstanding performance at the District Scholar Bowl, earning 2nd place overall at the district competition held at Kansas City Lutheran on Saturday, April 18.
Of the eight teams assigned to the district, six competed: Lafayette, Chillicothe, Kansas City Lutheran, Kansas City Central, Cameron, and Maryville. Chillicothe represented our school and community with strong teamwork, preparation, and poise throughout the day.
A special congratulations goes to Lake Englert, who earned 5th Place All-District, recognizing an exceptional individual performance.
Chillicothe’s four-member team at districts included Lake Englert, Smith Link, Helena England, and Alexander England. Several other students also competed and contributed throughout the season, including Nora Schneider, Kierra Williams, Garrett Wheeler, Piper Guthrie, Hyun Lee, and Jackson Fagan.
The team is sponsored by Mr. Yoko, whose time, guidance, and support help make these opportunities possible for students.
