Sterling Richey and Dr. Dan Wiebers with the artwork “Streets” by Sterling Richey, CHS Senior

CHS senior Sterling Richey has been selected for the Chillicothe R-II School District’s inaugural District Office Art Purchase, an annual tradition created to celebrate student creativity and strengthen the connection between our schools and the community.

Each year, the district will select and purchase one exceptional piece of original artwork from a student artist to be permanently displayed at the Central Office. This initiative recognizes the talent, effort, and artistic vision of our young creators—while ensuring the halls of our administration building reflect the vibrant artistic spirit of the students we serve.

Sterling’s piece, titled “Streets,” is a striking work created in watercolor and ink, and it will be displayed at the Central Office as the first artwork in what we hope will become a growing collection for years to come.

We look forward to seeing this tradition continue as a testament to our mission and our commitment to being the “Best District for the Best Students in the State.”
