Keri Rodenberg

Chillicothe, MO — The Chillicothe School District is pleased to announce the internal promotion of Keri Rodenberg as the District’s new Special Services Director. Rodenberg brings extensive leadership experience, deep special education expertise, and a strong, long-term commitment to students, families, and staff in the Chillicothe R-II School District.

Rodenberg has 24 years of experience in education, serving learners from preschool through 12th grade, and is known for her collaborative, student-centered approach. She previously served for six years as the District’s Process Coordinator (2015–2021), where she supported state compliance, facilitated communication with families, staff, administrators, and outside agencies, and monitored district special education data and services.

Most recently, Rodenberg has served as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher (2021–present), providing individualized supports, partnering closely with families and therapists, and serving as a case manager for initial evaluations and IEP development. Prior to that, she was a Special Education Teacher in Chillicothe R-II (2006–2015), following earlier service as a Special Education Teacher in Tina-Avalon R-II (2002–2006) and as a preschool teacher with Columbia Head Start (2001–2002).

Rodenberg’s preparation includes a Master of Education in Elementary Administration (William Woods University), coursework toward Mild to Moderate Cross Categorical Disabilities (K–12) certification (Northwest Missouri State University), and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies (University of Missouri). She also holds Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education certifications.

Her commitment and impact have been recognized through two Teacher of the Year nominations (2008 and 2013) and a 2025 “Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread” award, reflecting the respect and trust she has earned across the district.
