Amber Scott and Cody Glenn Named This Month’s “Sliced Bread” Award Winners
Chillicothe School District is proud to recognize Amber Scott and Cody Glenn as this month’s Sliced Bread Award winners—an honor celebrating staff members who go above and beyond to support students, families, and our school community.
Celebrating Amber Scott
Amber brings a positive, supportive attitude to a fast-paced and demanding role, and her steady approach helps keep communication clear and solutions-focused for staff, drivers, and families. She is always willing to accommodate requests and problem-solve when unexpected transportation needs arise.
Amber’s passion for her work shows in her daily commitment to ensuring students have safe and reliable transportation. Throughout the day, she manages communication, schedules transportation, and responds to calls—always working to meet the needs of students and staff. Even with the complexity of coordinating transportation for over 1,600 students and a fleet of 21 buses, Amber approaches every responsibility with care and a strong commitment to doing what is best for students.
Celebrating Cody Glenn
Coach Glenn is known for consistently greeting others with a positive attitude and never speaking negatively about others—even while managing a heavy workload and the pressures of time and stress management. Though he is a young coach, he carries himself with professionalism in everything he does, both in the classroom and across extracurricular activities.
Coach Glenn works tirelessly coaching three sports in three seasons, investing the time and effort needed to help students and student-athletes have the best chance to succeed. Even after his junior high basketball season ends, he continues staying after school to work with both high school basketball teams as their season continues. He is always willing to learn, grow, and help our programs wherever needed—making a meaningful impact on our students and school community.
