CHS Band practicing with Dr. Barry Houser, the Director of the Marching Illini and Associate Director of Bands at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

The Chillicothe High School Marching Hornets are gearing up for an exciting Thanksgiving Day performance in Orlando, and they have been working diligently to ensure they are ready for the big day. This fall, the band had the incredible opportunity to rehearse with Dr. Barry Houser, the Director of the Marching Illini and Associate Director of Bands at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The students are eager to perform under his baton in front of the iconic Cinderella’s Castle.

In addition to their preparations for Disney, the Marching Hornets will be marching from the high school to Chillicothe Elementary School tomorrow morning. In celebration of the band’s upcoming trip, CES students are encouraged to wear all things Disney during "Disney Day." This fun event aims to show support for the Marching Hornets as they embark on this memorable journey.

For those who want to catch the CHS Marching Hornets' performance, it will be broadcast live at 8:40 AM on Thanksgiving Day. You can view the performance by visiting this link.
