Picnic Table Group

In a remarkable display of skill and community spirit, the Building Trades class, led by instructor Garrett Anderson, has successfully crafted picnic tables for Hornet Academy and their Partner in Education, the Chillicothe Early Learning Center. This initiative was part of the GRTS Summer Boot Camp programming, which has garnered significant praise from both parents and students alike.

The GRTS summer programming, designed for students in grades 5-9, has proven to be a resounding success. Participants engaged in hands-on, real-world learning experiences that not only enhanced their skills but also fostered a sense of community involvement. Many parents have expressed their appreciation for the program, highlighting the positive impact it has had on their children.

The creation of picnic tables serves as a testament to the students' hard work and dedication, providing valuable resources for local educational institutions. This project not only equips students with practical skills but also reinforces the importance of collaboration and support within the community.

As the summer programming continues, the Chillicothe School District remains committed to building a brighter future for its students and the community, aligning with its mission to be "The Best District for the Best Students in the State." The success of the Building Trades class is a shining example of how hands-on learning can lead to meaningful contributions to the community.
