The Chillicothe R-II Transportation Department works to provide for the safe and orderly transportation of our students to and from school and school-related activities. To help us in this effort, we ask that parents and guardians keep the following in mind:

  • If you have any questions or aren’t sure if your child is eligible for transportation, please give us a call. If we don't answer, please leave a message and we will return your call. Our phone number is 660-646-6309.

  • Daily bus changes MUST be communicated to the Bus Barn or school building no later than 2 p.m. so that our drivers can accommodate those changes.

  • Parents of rural students are asked to call the Bus Barn by 6:30 a.m. on morning their child(ren) is not riding the bus.

  • Stop times given by the Bus Barn are estimates.

  • Stops may be eliminated if no riders are present for three consecutive school days.

  • Check out Ride 360 - an app designed to help parents and the District's transportation department communicate more effectively. 

    The app serves as the primary means of communication for parents to use regarding any district busing information. The app will also provide a map of the bus route a parent's child is riding, the location of their bus and an approximate ETA to their bus stop. 

    Only two parents or guardians will be allowed to have an account with the app, but through the it, parents can share their student's information with whoever they wish -  i.e. grandparents, babysitter, their student, etc.  Parents will need their student's State ID (See the Ride 360 student number directions below) to register their accounts which can be found in the Tyler SIS parent portal.
