The Chillicothe R-II Transportation Department works to provide for the safe and orderly transportation of our students to and from school and school-related activities. To help us in this effort, we ask that parents and guardians keep the following in mind:

  • If you have any questions or aren’t sure if your child is eligible for transportation, please give us a call. If we don't answer, please leave a message and we will return your call. Our phone number is 660-646-6309.

  • Daily bus changes MUST be communicated to the Bus Barn or school building no later than 2:30 PM so that our drivers can accommodate those changes.

  • Parents of rural students are asked to call the Bus Barn by 6:30 AM on morning their child(ren) is not riding the bus.

  • Stop times given by the Bus Barn are estimates.

  • Stops may be eliminated if no riders are present for three consecutive school days.

  • Check out My Ride K-12 - an app designed to help parents and the District's transportation department communicate more effectively. 

    The app serves as the primary means of communication for parents to use regarding any district busing information. The app will also provide a map of the bus route a parent's child is riding, the location of their bus and an approximate ETA to their bus stop.
