A Closer Look

The CTE Internship program continues to grow and thrive as students gain valuable hands-on experience in career-related positions that help them explore their future pathways. During the second semester, the program expanded to include six additional students. Students are required to work 5-15 hours/week depending on how many class periods they are enrolled in the internship. They must keep up attendance and grade requirements, and be seniors enrolled (or previously enrolled) in three credits of a career/technical education program.

Career Pathways

Our 7th and 8th grade Career Pathways classes give students hands-on experiences that connect learning to real-world skills and careers. Through engaging activities such as Dutch oven cooking, fishing, archery, woodshop, and concrete projects, students explore a wide range of Career and Technical Education (CTE) fields, including agriculture, family and consumer sciences, industrial technology, and skilled trades. Students build practical skills while learning the importance of safety, teamwork, problem-solving, and responsibility. These experiences encourage students to think critically, try new skills, and discover potential career interests early on. The program also strengthens connections between school, staff, and the community by exposing students to skills and careers that are relevant right here at home. This hands-on approach allows students to see how classroom learning applies beyond school and helps set a strong foundation for future CTE and career pathway opportunities.
