Twitter

Chillicothe R II School District's Twitter account will be used as a way to quickly update students, parents,
and the local and global communities regarding district updates. You may create a Twitter account and "follow" the district Twitter account, you may subscribe to receive updates via text messaging on your phone (regular texting charges apply, according to your cell service agreement)

At this time Twitter will only disseminate information to the community, its collaborative features
will not be utilized.

What is Twitter?
Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People write short updates, often called "Tweets" of 140 characters or fewer. These messages can be posted online, searched for by others or sent to "followers."

Twitter Options:

1. View our Twitter page - http://www.twitter.com/ChillicotheR2 (no account necessary)
2. A Twitter widget appears on our district's homepage - you may view updates there without creating an account of your own.
3. Create a Twitter account - you may then "follow" Chillicothe R2's Twitter and then our updates will appear
on your Twitter page.
4. Set up your Twitter account so you get updates via text - your cell service texting charges apply

How to Create a Twitter Account

If you want to restrict your Twitter updates to only those who follow you, check the box marked, “Protect my updates.” You’ll maintain your privacy, but you’ll limit your reach. To get the full Twitter experience, leave the box unchecked.

You don’t have to be online to use Twitter. No matter where you are, you can stay connected with your cell phone. On the “Devices” tab under “Settings,” enter your mobile number to receive and post Twitter updates via text message.
