R-2 Board Ballot to Feature Four Candidates Chillicothe R-2 voters will chose two of four candidates running for board seats in the April 7 election. The filing period opened Dec. 16 and closed Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 5 p.m. The seats currently held by Julie McCoy and Rick Baker are available. McCoy, who has served on the board since 2000, is finishing her third consecutive term on the board. Baker, who was elected in 2006, is completing his first term and currently serves as the board’s vice president. Also on the ballot are Robbie Skipper, 31, of 8492 Liv 508, who was the first candidate to file. His candidacy declaration marks the third consecutive time he has tried to win a seat on the board over the past three years. Baker, 46, of 11362 Old Highway 190, filed next; McCoy, 47, of 8492 Liv 508 filed third and Paul R. Thomas, 37, of 825 Jansen Street, filed last.
