Chillicothe Educational Foundation

The Chillicothe Education Foundation was formed in 1992 to encourage the highest educational standards in the Chillicothe Public Schools and to increase community pride in those schools. Established to provide financial support for enrichment programs and activities where needs are determined, the Foundation receives and administers gifts and bequests which shall benefit education in the Chillicothe R-II Schools.

Donation Information

CEF is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to the Foundation should be deductible for state and federal income and estate tax purposes. Consult your personal tax advisor in regard to your particular tax situation.

Donations may be in the form of cash, property, or by bequest through a will or trust. The following categories are only suggestions; no contribution is too small to help.

  • Patron
    Single $250, Couple $500
  • Sponsor
    Single $125, Couple $250
  • Friend
    Single $75, Couple $150

Donations to the Foundation may be made for a specific purpose or my be left to the Foundation endowment. The donor may specify that either the income earned on the principal or the entire amount of the donation be available for expenditure in accordance with the donor's purpose. There are no administrative fees. All proceeds go for the intended purpose of the donor. Please make checks payable to the Chillicothe Education Foundation.

Education Foundation Land Acquisition

The Chillicothe Educational Foundation took a significant step in supporting Chillicothe R-2 School District's future by securing enough land to someday accommodate an entire educational complex. The land amounts to 61 acres and is located north and northeast of the existing high school.

Foundation officials as well as school representatives and donors gathered on a small plot of land overlooking the new acquisition during a celebration ceremony held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2003. For complete details, visit our News page.
