SCHOOL DUAL CREDIT POLICY GUIDELINES
2006-2007 SCHOOL YEAR Chillicothe High School continues to offer dual credit through collaboration with Central Methodist College and North Central Missouri College according the policy guidelines adopted by the Missouri Coordinating Board of Higher Education in 1999. A copy of the revised policy is attached for your use. The following requirements must be met in order to enroll for dual credit: 1. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Please keep the following in mind as you enroll for dual credit: Taking courses for college credit is optional. If you are taking more than 15 hours of dual credit, you should first check with the college or university you plan to attend to insure that the credits will transfer. This is your responsibility. You may want to get an agreement in writing as to how the credits will transfer—as general education electives or core requirements for your major. If you take English 101 for dual credit you should also plan to take English 102 in order to insure that the college awards ENGLISH credit and not just elective credit.
