  • September 16 - All District Choir Auditions, MWSU, St. Joseph
  • September 18 - Choraliers perform Star Spangled Banner at the Constitution Assembly
  • October 28 - All-District Choir Clinic / All-State Choir Auditions
  • October 30 - High School Vocal Concert 7:00 p.m., PAC
  • November 9, 10, 11 - Fall Musical Performances, PAC
  • December 14 - HS Band/Vocal Concert PAC
  • January 13 - Show Choir Festival Rockbridge High
  • February 10 - Maryville Show Choir Festival
  • March 10 - Harrisonville Show Choir Festival
  • March 29 and 31 - District Contest
  • April 26 & 27 - State Music Contest
  • May 7 - High School Vocal Concert PAC

These are the dates that have been placed on the calendar. There could be additions, esp. for the Choraliers as community organizations invite us to perform.

CHS Senior Vocal Student Named to All-State Choir

A Chillicothe High School senior has been selected to the All-State Choir after participating in the Northwest All-District Choir at Platte County High School in Platte City, Mo. Saturday. Matt Oleson, the son of Junior and Patty Oleson, was named to the elite choir, which will perform on Jan. 27, 2007 at Tan-Tar-A at the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to Chillicothe High School vocal director Connie Marten, Oleson is among 16 vocal students in the Northwest district selected to the All-State Choir. Only junior and senior students can qualify for the choir, she explained.

Vocal Students Earn Honors in District Music Festival

A contingent of vocal students traveled to Maryville, Mo., Thursday, March 30, to compete in the District Music Festival held on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University. The results of the contest are as follows: Mixed Choir (CHS Select and Choraliers combined): Superior 1; Chamber Choir (Choraliers only): Superior 1. The following students and small ensembles earned Superior 1 ratings and have qualified to perform at the State Music Festival in April at the University of Missouri-Columbia:

Ashley Venable, Jessica Morgan, Matt Oleson, Montana Vinson, Sara Mathew, Kayte Harrison, Ryan Riggs, Men's Mixed Double Quartet (involving Weston Baker, Josh Copeland, Logan Gilliland, Jacob McKenzie, Ben Nibarger, Chris Peterson, Ryan Riggs and Jacob Vadnais) and Mixed Double Quartet (involving Alison Critten, Jessica Morgan, Ben Nibarger, Matt Oleson, Whitney Saunders, Jacob Vadnais, Tyler Way and Savanna Whitt)

The Monster Mash
